The suddenness of your passing has left me speechless. I had hoped for many more years together, cherishing your wisdom and warmth. During my extended visit in January, our conversations were rich and meaningful. However, hearing people say that you knew your time was near confused me, especially when your granddaughter insisted you had no business leaving us. Truly Daddy you have no business dying but your father want you home.
Your strength was evident, Daddy. Remember the day I offered your walking stick, concerned for your support? Your insistence on its colour matching your outfit brought a smile to my face. Your humour and charm were ever-present, making everyone around you feel loved and appreciated.
You excelled in every role, Daddy. For 16 years, you filled the shoes of both mother and father with uncommon grace and dedication. People marvelled at how well you coped, leaning on your unwavering faith in God.
Your prayer life was a testament to your deep relationship with God. Your constant communion with Him, from locking the door of your room prayers, dining table blessings, starting of the car prayers, your effortless prayer life was inspiring. Your peaceful passing affirmed the rewards of serving the Lord faithfully.
That last call you made on mon to bless my husband, my children and me will forever be cherished. Your words were filled with passion and love, leaving a lasting impact on our hearts.
Your humility and integrity, set you apart Daddy mi. You walked tall in your faith, never succumbing to greed or tarnishing your reputation. Your legacy of righteousness and kindness will continue to inspire generations.
We miss you dearly, Baba mi, Your absence is deeply felt, and your shoes impossible to fill. Yet, we find solace in knowing you lived a life of purpose and devotion to God.
Rest peacefully, Daddy mi. May your soul reunite with you saviour Jesus Christ, Mama, Iya and Moomi. Your wisdom and love will forever guide us. Thank you for everything, Daddy mi. I love you.
