TRIBUTE TO MY DAD- PASTOR (DR) GABRIEL OLADELE OLUTOLA - THE MAN OF UNCOMMON GRACE.

The memory of the uncompromisingly righteous is a blessing (Prov. 10:7Amp). Such is your memory, my dear dad. I’m privilege to have come to the world through your loin- you brought me forth and set the pace for me with your uncompromisingly righteous life, ministry, marital and social life. You were more than just a father; you were my first pastor and discipler. Your first statement to me the day I was leaving home for secondary school brought an understanding of the peculiarity of a child of God to me (remember the daughter of whom you are), till today it is settled in my heart that I’m not the same with unbelievers.

Your message titled “Other people may, but you must not” was preached right in our sitting room and had a permanent impact till today.

I’m missing you so greatly.  You had played the role of a mother and a father for 16 years; you became more intimate when I lost my husband in 2019, and now I’m learning how to be a widow and orphan by God’s grace. I missed your godly counsel and your frequent calls; even when I missed it, you would call back. You want to be sure I’m fine with the children every time.

Daddy, I missed your first greetings every time you called (abeni oko iya). I never knew you would walk away just like Enoch when I saw you last on the 23rd of December, 2023. But I remember on the 22nd night, you told me, “I have done what God said I should do”. Indeed, you have fought a good fight, you have finished your race and I know you are resting with your Master whom you served all the days of your life. Rest on Dad till Resurrection morning when we meet to part no more.
