A Man after God's Heart.

We gather here today to honor the memory of a true man, our beloved father Daddy Olutola. He was not just a leader in our church community, but a example of faith, kindness, and love for all. Daddy lived his life with unwavering devotion to God, always putting his faith first in all aspects of his life. His dedication to spreading the word of God and guiding others on their spiritual journeys was unwavering, and his sermons inspired countless individuals to deepen their own relationship with the Divine. But beyond his role as a spiritual leader, daddy was known for his incredible kindness and compassion towards others. I am a beneficiary of his love. I knew him personally, he conducted my father’s burial in 1999, he was a good man. Very jovial and fun to be with. He had a heart as big as his love for God, and he never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether it was visiting the sick, comforting the grieving, or simply offering a listening ear, daddy was always there for his congregation and community.  And perhaps most importantly, daddy embodied love in its purest form. He treated everyone he encountered with respect, dignity, and warmth, regardless of their background or beliefs and regardless of his exalted status. His ability to see the good in all people and to show them genuine love and acceptance was truly a gift that touched the lives of many.  As we mourn the loss of this rare gem and gift of God, let us remember the legacy he has left behind – one of kindness, and love and sacrifice. May we strive to carry on his spirit of unwavering devotion to God, his generosity towards others, and his ability to love unconditionally. Baba Olutola may no longer be with us in body, but his memory and teachings will forever live on in our hearts.
