A Father indeed.
In my heart and memories, dear Grandfather, our fashionista, you left an indelible mark, wise and true.
Your tales of life’s journey are like a flowing river, guiding my steps, with every story shared, a lesson unfolds in each word and proverb.
I look back in fondness every day, at the joyful times we had, especially when I worked with you, Grandpa. My helper, sent from God. Thank you for trusting me with a multimillion-naira project and company, stood by me, and fought for me even in my absence because you trusted me. Thank you for being there for my parents and siblings.
With steady hands, you led me through life’s maze, sharing the secrets of resilience and strength. Your quiet encouragement, like the sun’s rays, lit my path, inspiring me to go the length. Thank you for the integrity and faith you stood for all the years, faithful to the letters, strict, disciplined, and passionate. A man who gave me inspiration and courage to achieve goals. You told me right from wrong and most of all you put others before you.
A man who had smiles to brighten our days, who always made us feel good with his warm words of praise. And what’s more, he knew what to do to make wishes come true.
A man who always had good stories to tell, but just as importantly he knew how to be a good listener as well, patient and kind, the very best friend one could ever hope to find.
He was no ordinary man. You were one in a million.
Family parties and dinners won’t be the same ’cause you won’t be there.
You’re not going to be with us, but you will be forever in our hearts.
It’s going to feel like we are together, but apart.
And that he’s watching us all with a smile on his face, as we have made him so proud, as proud as can be, that he has raised such a beautiful and special family.
Thinking back now, I really must say I feel lucky and privileged to have known Grandpa to this day, for in my life and family, you have played a special part in the memories I will treasure and keep close to my heart.
And now I would like to thank the good Lord above for blessing us with you, with his kindness and love.
Dear God, if it is not too much fuss, please take extra special care of your son, for he is very dear to us.
Grandpa, if you are listening, say a prayer for us every day.
We know when God called you, you had to go, but we want you to know, Grandpa, we miss you and love you so much.
Your legacy lives on, a timeless treasure, I’ll carry your teachings, beyond measure,
With gratitude and love forevermore.
