TIMELINE

Gabriel Oladele Olutola was born in Oke-Ibode, Osun State, Nigeria.

He attended St. John’s primary School, Oke- Ibode, Ilesa, Osun State.

Pastor Olutola began his Ministerial work as a Worker in The Apostolic Church.

He was ordained as a Pastor of The Apostolic Church.

Pastor Olutola earned his General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘0’ Level.

He studied at The Apostolic Church International Bible College, Pennygroes, UK, obtaining a Higher Diploma in Theology.

He served as a Senior Tutor, then as Vice Principal at the Apostolic Bible College, Ilesa.

He was the principal of The Apostolic Church LAWNA Bible College, Ilesa.

He became an Apostle, serving as the District Apostle at Oke Igbogi District, Ilesa till 1980. During this period, he also acted as the Ilesa Area Witness Movement Leader (1979-1980).

He was appointed the Area Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Ilesa Area. He also served as the Secretary of the National Advisory Executive Council of The Apostolic Church Nigeria.

He served as The Apostolic Church Ilorin Area Administrator and later Abuja FCT Area Administrator.

Pastor Olutola was the Chairman of the Bible Society Ilesa Auxiliary (1982-1990).

He was TAC LAWNA Abuja FCT Area Administrator.

He served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors at Apostolic Training College Ilesa, Osun State.

He served as The Apostolic Church LAWNA Witnesses Leader.

March 2, 1992, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity by Bradley University, USA.

He became the 4th Administrative Secretary of The Apostolic Church LAWNA.

He served as a Member of the LAWNA Constitution Drafting Committee (1996-1998).

He was appointed as The Apostolic Church Mushin Area Superintendent and also as the administrator of The Apostolic Church, Oke-Ado Area, Ibadan. He also served as a Member of the Nigeria Inter-Religion Council (NIREC) from 1999 until his glorification.

He received a certificate in Effective Christian Religious Communication from the University of Ibadan and became a Member of the Apostolic Church National Executive Council. 

He was appointed as The Apostolic Church Benin City Area Superintendent. 

At the prestigious Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA, he earned a Certificate in Theology and Leadership.

He served as Chairman of The Apostolic Church LAWNA Territory.

September 18, 2010, he was awarded an Honorary Doctors of Divinity by UMCA, Ilorin and was appointed Chairman, The Apostolic Church National Convention Committee.

Pastor Olutola was inducted as the 2nd National President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, and the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Ibadan awarded him the Distinguished Leadership Skill in Religion. He also served as the proprietor and Chancellor of Glorious Vision University (GVU) Ogwa.

In January 2012, The Bible Society of Nigeria honoured this highly dignified man of God with the “award for selfless service toward God and humanity”. 

On the 21st of June, 2012, Pastor Dr. Gabriel Oladele Olutola was honoured by the Police/Community Relation Committee, Ilesa, when he was appointed their Life Patron.

September 6, 2015: Pastor Olutola was honoured with the conferment of Doctor of Letters on him by Samuel Adegboyega University.

He retired from active ministerial service as The National president of The Apostolic Church Nigeria and the Chairman of The Apostolic LAWNA.

On February 14th 2024, Pastor Gabriel Oladele Olutola laid down his sword at the feet of Christ and entered into eternal glory.
