In 1998, he was made the Grand National Patron by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on the Be-seen and Be Safe, Children Safety Campaign and Appeal Fund initiatives.
In January 2012, The Bible Society of Nigeria honoured this highly dignified man of God with the “award for selfless service toward God and humanity”.
On the 21st of June, 2012, Pastor Dr. Gabriel Oladele Olutola was honoured by the Police/Community Relation Committee, Ilesa, when he was appointed their Life Patron.
Pastor Dr. G.O. Olutola was a Philanthropist of high reputation. He extended his hand of grace to Hospitals, Widows, Prison yards and Orphanages in great measure. He loved reading, travelling, driving, counselling, evangelising and teaching.
